    Default Why i love... (faction/unit)

    ... Romans:
You can just but them in formation, and react to enemy attacks, and enemy must "beat my legion 3 times" (hastati, principes, triarii) before victory, while i can just break barbarian lines from some point, and send in my Triarii, and principes to reinforce lines.

So idea of this thread is tell people what you love in some faction/unit.
Apologies for anyone who's message i may miss or not be able to answer

The Celtiberi, though moreso when you combine units from both the Celtiberi and the Lusitani.

The Iberians have very versatile units, each of their units save for one heavy cav are ranged and melee. Makes for a nice line of javelins in the face for the enemy

The Ambacti for the Celtiberi are great heavy infantry, but combine them with the spearmen Lusitani Heavy Caetari and you have a good force to be reckoned with that can also hold a line against cavalry with those spears.

I love the versatility of the Iberians.

Makedonia the all conquering army tactics of Philip II and Alexander III, combined arms tactics, use of the phalanx, Hypastistai, Thracian and Celt troops... not forgetting the Hetairoi and elephants, unbeatable under the right general
