    Default Diplomacy Overhaul

I think they should take a leaf out of Civilization's book when it comes to diplomacy.

What happens to me very often in Empire and Shogun 2 is that I go to war calling smaller nations I'm allied with to help, and when I make peace with the enemy, the smaller nations stay at war and more often than not get conquered. How is it that I cannot negotiate peace between my former enemy and my ally? Or at least bribe the enemy into making peace?

    I'm just saying.

I wouldn't mind the ability to form coalitions, select a faction to be the leader of that faction (think the Peloponnesian League or the Arverni in Gaul), and the rest of the coalition follows there moves diplomatically. It would be nice for a leader to set military targets (like a crusade or jihad in Medieval), and for the coalition to be broken up by hostile diplomacy.
If you rep me, leave your name. I'll look more kindly on your future transgressions.

Coalitions could be a cool, historically accurate way for all the smaller Greek states to be represented without just putting them in as small, weak powers.

It would also be nice for the AI to want to team up against powerful foes more (not as extreme as the realm divide in S2TW, obviously).
