Count Istvan Jaksic I arrives in Zagreb to speak with the King of Hungary-Poland.
He is escorted to the castle by a messenger.
The King is in his study. He is expecting you.
Count Istvan enters the study and bows extravagantly. "Your majesty, it is a great pleasure and an honor to speak with you again. You may or may not remember it, but we have met before, during one of your visits to the city of Szeged. I was but a young lad at the time, but I thoroughly enjoyed our discussion on the possibilities the future held for Hungary. In fact, my current philosophy is but an extension of one of the many ideas that was brought up. I am but an extension of the House of Jaksic, and as such of Hungary as well, in the Holy Roman Empire. I hope that you can see the potential benefits I might be able to provide you, as I most certainly can."
But what is it you wish to speak to me about?
"I wish to ask for your support, either militarily, financially, or both, in an upcoming invasion before the year is out. Expansion is key to garnering strength, after all. It can certainly be justified as one count claiming the lands of another count. I'm confident that it would be something I can easily manage myself, but the trick is keeping up the momentum and engaging another country, one that isn't a part of the Holy Roman Empire."
But I am confused. Please speak openly.
