Ghulams no longer available in Fortresses??

Not sure what happened with my save game but Ghulams suddenly became no longer available from Fortresses, only from Citadels. I'm playing as Fatamids and have no Citadels, yet have several Ghulams from before my save got corrupted. I'm currently at turn 109

I started a new game of Fatamids, and Ghulams were available from fortresses as normal.

Depends how far you are into the campaign and what sub-modes you use.RR shifts units out production if they are outdated.

Just realized what you meant, I did not disable RR, but I also dont recall what submods I used. I think I used savage AI, and permanent watchtowers is all I checked

The Ghulams are definitely not outdated as there is no replacement for them. Plus a new game shows they are available from the barracks in a fortress, yet in my saved game they are not.

They don`t need to have a direct replacement as in you lose a heavy infantry unit you get a better heavy infantry unit.The Ghulams where replaced by the Mameluks as professional slave soldiers at some point in history.RR takes that into consideration.
