I am at a loss
My wife got Shogun 2 for me around 3 months ago and everything was fine, my computer played it and everything was perfect. One day, I was in a rush so I hard-shut down after I saved my campaign. The next I tried to play, it just wouldn't get past the loading screen. My computer said that several files were corrupted so I let the computer sort that out, but the game still won't work. It will just sit in the first loading screen for hours.
I've looked up website after website and thread after thread and I can't get my game to work. I've reinstalled my game at least 6 times, and even after installing FOTS, it still doesn't work. I've checked the Redist thing, I've deleted the Blob File (sorry for the vague terms, I'm a computer noob), and I've verified the integrity of the game several times (in fact, I'm doing that right now). Every other Total War game I have works fine, I'm at a loss.

Re: I am at a loss
Delete the shogun2 folder in the The Creative Assmbly folder, verify the game cache, then try it.

Re: I am at a loss
Found the folder, but the verifying it taking it's sweet time, I hope that's a good thing

Tried running it in Direct 10, didn't work, should I try 9?

Re: I am at a loss
I'm verifying it again, but it's taking even longer than the first. By the way, thanks for the help, I appreciate it.
