Default Late Byzantine Game + Family Issues

So like, I enjoy a nice tough campaign...so I settled on Late Byzantine with VH/VH. Despite the difficulty, I went on a heroic victory spree throughout Asia with my emperor. Now, from what I remember reading, family births are dependent upon territories (to an extent). The Byzantine empire starts off with all family members, two in Greece and 3 in the East. The family trees of 3 are hidden, since they aren't apart of the main line.

My problem, is that despite going and capturing territory, the other family members are never approached by 'noble ladies'. In fact, I had the same issue in my Danish campaign...with no noble ladies featuring to arrange a non princess marriage between a family member and her.

A couple of years down the line...and I have a chronic shortage of family members, who will never marry or have children and worst of all - a starting Emperor who sadly, doesn't have a biological son, either.

Should I modify some files to increase the chances of noble marriages popping up? or is my game broken?

    Thanks

This is a common issue in M2TW; marriage offers for male FM are very rare early in the game and in the late game they kinda don't exist, so some awesome guys created this : http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=436011

Any comment on the lack of biological son for the Emperor in late game start?

Also, is there a mod that gives islamic/other pagan factions princesses?

Can you be more explicit please ?
Does the Emperor have 'Of Byzantine blood' trait ? If he has it then his sons should have Byzantine blood and also have 'Biological son' trait; or in case they are illegitimate (the Emperor banged another woman) they should still have Byzantine blood, but they shouldn't have 'Biological son' trait.
Please post here a pic with the Emperor's sons traits.

No, my problem is that the Late game Byzantine emperor doesn't have a biological son and can't pass anything on.

What I like to do with the late Romans is take Alexios and marry my one princess to him, then head him west to attack Constantinople. Once he retakes the capital the current Emperor and his Heir meet with an accident and the Komnenos dynasty is restored hehe.

Soon after that, the brave Dukas (i think is their name) family helps me retake western/southern Greece, but they sadly both fall at the hands of the Venetians at Rhodes or Iraklion

Luckily Emperor Alexios (now calling himself The Great) saves the day by reconquering the greek isles, trades Durazzo? (that western most province) to Venice in exchange for peace and every member of the former-royal family is dead. Just the Emperor is left and he always then has 4 kids very quickly. Once they are born ill usually recruit 1-2 (non-family) generals to tide me over till the kids come of age.

Pretty sure all the family members are related anyway, at least loosely.

No, the Princess is Laskaris... Alexios is Konmenos... but thier children are "of Greek blood" so, that was the important part to me.

If you see the traits, Greek blood means he/she is from the line of Komnenus.

Yet, the other family member located in Trebizond, is called Komnenos - not Komnenus. I really don't know what the dev teams thoughts were, when it came to naming generals, or if they mean for any of them to be based on real people.

The team mispelled the name in the trait. It's either Komnenos or Comnenus.

The Lord of Trebizond in the game is Emperor Alexios I Megas Komnenos of Trebizond.
