Units in Early and Late Eras
A question for those who played an early campaign for a long time, and have reached the high\late medeival times:
As I started a new Early Campaigh with Kiev, I noticed that I don't see many of the more advanced units when checking the buildings trees.
So if I begin a campaign in the Early Era, play it slowly for many in-game years and reach 1200+ AD, will I see those cool advanced units in my tech tree at some point, or will I be able to see those only if I begin a new Late Era campaign?

Re: Units in Early and Late Eras
unit availability will update in building browser when you advance to the age that the unit is available.

unit availability will update in building browser when you advance to the age that the unit is available. for instance, longbowmen arent shown in english building browser until you advance to the time period that they are available.

Re: Units in Early and Late Eras
Yes, "late era" is still pretty early. 1220 or so. New Era event happens in 1300, unlocking many new mercs and units. First cannons (atleast for western nations) come to play 1350. I think last units come to play 1580. Not completely sure. Note also, that some of old units dissapear after certain events. So if you want to see all units of game, you must choose early era

You can use this site to see when units are avaivable. Note that years may differ little in some units and not all rosters are complete.
