PUP stands for Potentially Unwanted Program.

If i were you i would delete them ASAP becouse i got those files from a virus that got installed on my systemOriginally Posted by Maron
Well if you scan for viruses and it says you dont have any- only those pups then i dont know as there should be a problem.
Norton used to warn me about Gamespy everytime i scanned. I know its full of spyware and such but as far as I know its necesarry to play certain games online.

Thats spyware crap that comes buried in those internet gaming programs like Gamespot and GameSpy Arcade, etc and even when you delete those programs that BS is still in your registry, hanging on for dear life! Don't worry, they aren't hurting anything, you just wouldn't have used those programs if they told you they were loaded with tracking devices! Just a little more unwanted programming convoluting your system, thats all....

If you're looking for something to get rid of them, I'd bet Spybot will do the trick.
