hi developer, can you give a supply system features to make the game more chalengging
maybe something like this,When an Army besieging a city.they will able to burn crops to starve the garisson and Reducing Times until surrender and reducing garrison number
or maybe like this, before an army march they must load food for supply, when the food are depleted the morale and soldiers will decreased
Or you can decide your own supply system features, whatever is that

Thanks for reading, sorry for bad english BTW

I made a whole thread on this as well and absolutely agree.
Even lone wolf commandos need supply from somewhere.

Romans used to make supply bases and forts all along their line of advance. I am not sure how common it was but it is the way I am lead to believe things worked
in newly conquered areas when the main army was still pushing forward at the front.

I do not think cutting supply should have any immediate effect. But long term (5-6 turns) it should start to affect things and force the army commander to live off the land\forage, pillage or pay the locals if they are at all amicable. Otherwise attrition and sickness should be the result. Not bad at first but enough to have the commander consider making a dash for the nearest source of supply. Friendly or enemy!

In the desert water should play a more pronounced part in the supply chain. In other theatres where water is plentiful it should not be a factor.

Re-supply by ship should be an option as should a relief supply column from the nearest supply base once lines are cut.

Sail your ship as part of a fleet. Devs previously worked on: Darthmod, World of Warplanes, World of Tanks, RaceRoom, IL2-Sturmovik, Metro, STALKER and many other great games..

Well, generally speaking settlements on the desert are built around a water source. That makes them even more valuable on the region.

And yes, I've been screaming asking for this publicly since I signed up here, privately since Rome 1.

Yes. The attrition for the sieging army should be greater than the defender. People does not just build settlement in the desert without ample water source.

not if they have a permanent water supply.

Not always possible. Wells, for example.

Burning crops while you're sieging hurts you more than the defenders.

And aren't you tired of posting useless post.
Not as if anyone needed your intervention to understand his sentence.

I support the idea of a supply system in Rome 2.
The subject has already been treated http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...ghlight=supply
So you might want to check up.

If CA implement a supply system (and supply line) in R2TW, first, I hope its parameters will be easy to edit (bd tables for instance) and certainly not hardcoded. Second, I hope the supply system will be moddable to be adapted to other era, for instance a XVIIIth or XIXth century mod.

I agree, I feel it is time for ca to add the supply system of some kind to tw games. There has been at least one great thread on this already.

Don't worry I won't start some silly war.
It's just that it shouldn't be that much difficult to give your own opinion on your first post on a thread.
You know something similar to "I like the idea" or "I don't like the idea".
I won't even ask about the reason since it's a personal opinion considering the subject.

Now we are talking about siege I would also like more option in the campaign map.
We could first use some stratagem like poisoning the water source or bombarding the defence if you have some artillery. Anything to make the siege on the campaign map dynamic.
This way the various siege you have to lead you be more than waiting until the city surrender or you are able to launch an assault.

    Mmmm those are interesting ideas...
However so long we don't have a supply system we won't be able to represent the sieges in a more organic way, but as always with capped numbers with not much relation to real conditions.
