Even as Arthur prepared to retake The Tor they arrived, thousands of soldiers came flooding out of boats bent on destroying the false king of Dorne many banners both black and purple were waving in the wind while above all the crowned Stag of the Stormkings stood out in the Dornish sun. The besiegers were caught by surprise and massacred where they stand while the defenders could do nought but stare. No word had reached them of a reinforcing army yet here one was, laying into the Martells with fierce determination. Only minutes after the battle started the first of the soldiers looked over their shoulders thinking fleeing would be better than standing and dying and once one man dropped his weapon more followed.

The Siege of The Tor has been ended by the Stormlords led by Lord Dondarrion. The remnants of Arthur's host flees further inland but we have no need to follow them. We have many ships which which to strike at Sunspear and the rest of the Dornish coast. All hail the Stormkings, all hail the Stormlanders.

    Bolton up.
"I, Pinkie Pie, declare that these treats are fit for a king, or a queen, or a princess!"
"Me? Ruin? I'm not the ruiner, I'm the ruinee! Or is it ruinness? Ruinette?"
"She's ahead of the litter all right. The pick of the litter. The cat's pajamas. Oh wait. Why would Applejack take some poor kitty's pj's? That's not very sporting of her."
"More balloons! No, that's too many balloons. More candy! No, less candy. Ooh! I know! Streamers!"
"Oh my gosh. Hold on to your hooves – I am just about to be brilliant!"

Wait it is allowed to burn your own castles down? What nonsense is this.

Stark burnt Karhold down while I was besieging it, every building is destroyed. I only came across something like this in the very first hotseat on this forum and soon after it the rule was added to each new hotseat.
Not only does he prevent me from taking any sacking money, it has also made Karhold completely incapable to produce anything of worth. He also probably used the money from the destruction to train more troops and help his overall war effort.

Perhaps he'll destroy every settlement of his I will try to capture. In that event every Stark castle in the North, including Winterfell, will be completely useless.

I say that we make the rule that it is not allowed to destroy your buildings if an enemy army is besieging it or can reach it in one turn. This will go in effect next turn of course.

Karhold has fallen, the Karstarks have been rooted out. Only Hugo Karstark remains of that house.

    Mudd is up.

I checked the rules and its allowed. Beron's hatred of Boltons runs deep as Domeric's of Starks.

I realize it is rather low of an opponent, but it wont be of any consequence, for the road to Victory is filled with potholes and cracks. But victory is victory.

For what it's worth, I wasnt planning on raising Karhold. I was planning on sending Beron around to take on Vayon and combine the hosts, but when you stated after the defeat that the characters couldnt move next turn,(despite that having no rule stated) I hadnt taken Karhold into account(which means its an isolated event) and hence you took it this turn.

And I wont destroy every single building if I lose because to me its a Game( of Thrones) and thats just being a sore loser, not a scorched earth policy.

However if you want you can give Karhold back to me, and I'll rebuild it all nice and strong again, with plenty of fortifications to make it a hard nut to crack

-Although it is very low of you to destroy buildings in your own settlement upon impending defeat in a siege/incoming enemy forces, it is allowed to go the way of the Mad King and burn your own city to the ground.
I allowed this because it is more realistic. If it can happen in the real world, why not in a hs? However, I understand your reasons; if I get 3 people (including you) that want this rule changed, then I'll change it so that it is not allowed. Thus, Stark would have to go back and rebuild or pay Dux a little fine.

Then let me ask the question on defeated armies:although not stated in the rules Dux decreed that I could not move my armies after they had been defeated. Now as a courtesy I didnt, but this was news to me. In any case, me torching Karhold was because I could not move my army and basically do nothing the turn after(as far as In aware armies dont sit around and do nothing after a defeat) Now I have no problem with him attacking Karhold, it is war, but the fact that I could do almost nothing due to what is either an unstated rule or something he misspoke of is what does upset me. If the rule passes and I do replay my turn, I would like it if Dux not immediately seize Karhold so I can make up for my one wasted turn. IF thats alright with him as this is a mostly, but not entirely Stark-Bolton issue.

Oh yeah forgot to mention that

    EFFECTIVE NEXT TURN

    NEW RULE:

If an army(1) is defeated by an army(2) that comes after them in turns, army(1) cannot move on its next turn. This is because when army(1) is defeated, it uses movement points to retreat. Since army(1) is before army(2), it would be able to retreat even more when its turn comes up. This is unfair for army(2), because army(1) basically got double movement points before army(2) would be able to chase it.

Thus; if lannister army is defeated by stark army, lannister army can't move next turn.

Yes I was honestly under the impression that rule was already added. You see Guy, if you defeat my army, I can't move that turn because I'm behind you in the turn list, so you can destroy that army in the next turn. However if I defeat an army of you, then you can move the next turn and escape, which is unfair. That's why the above rule exists.

Alright thts fie, but what Im saying is that the initial statment you said at the time since rule wasnt written then was a tad confusing. No matter, its settled now thankfully in nice bold font

I would be fine with destroying your own cities while under siege, as long as the money you received from destroying the buildings is taken away, since in reality, the money wouldn't be able to be added to my faction's coffers, because the siege would trap everything inside

Winterfell had secret tunnels for the lords to escape encase of a siege they would bring their money too most castles did

Fair enough. But still, how much carryable money will you get from destroying a building such as stables or a blacksmith. Because i don't think you'll get gold or silver or anything valuable from those buildings
