    Hello to everyone there!

I was reading all posts here from "the arts" (yet one of my favourite forums ) and I didn't see any topic about series,so I would like to discuss whcih are the series you have seen and also tell me you favourite ones .It is not nessesary to have seen all the episodes from all seasons, you can write about it if you have seen at least 5 episodes and you liked it

    Hm...ok I start
the series I have watched are

Kyle XY (till it finished )
    The adventures of Merlin ( I love it,waiting for season 5 )
Dr. House ( some episodes of the first two seasons)
Visitors (the first season only,I liked it very much but when I searched for all seasons I saw that it doesn't have an end and they stop making it so I got dissapointed )
Monk (some episodes of season 4)
Naruto (I dont' remember which season I think till 4rth not sure it was a long time ago)

these ones I can remember right now..so I am hearing

Some of those are too damn serious. Especially Breaking Bad. You need a lighter show to mix in to be able to watch most of those.

You know, everyone tells me how great The Wire is, but every time I go to watch an episode it just bores me and I end up switching to something else.

I'll admit I have not ever watched in any order, so is it something I should really see from the beginning linearly?

By the way, my favs are:

    Deadwood
    Rome
    Boardwalk Empire
Babylon 5 (oldie but just keep rewatching it)
    Sopranos
    Walking Dead
    Big C
    Doctor Who
    Being Human (British Version)
    Misfits
    Life on Mars (British Version)
    Eureka
    Game of Thrones

    To name a few

The Wire makes no sense at all unless you watch the episodes in order. The second series puts a lot of people off because the focus switches from the 'corners' to the 'suppliers,' but stick with it..

No mention yet for Caprica/Battlestar Galactica, OZ, Carnivale.. All excellent..

The Sopranos is probably my favourite series.

Couple of others not mentioned that have one season out and are looking good.

    Hell on Wheels.
    American Horror Story.

Oh yes, American Horror Story was a good one. Should be an interesting new season, curious to see what they do.

I Think I need to netflik The Wire and hole myself up in my house at some point to see what all the hype is about. Thanks for recommendation Halie.

How come no one has mentioned any of the Law and Order series? I love the original (all up to the end, which was kind of dissapointing to me), and SVU even more. I haven´t seen any of the other spin-offs, they all seem too "facky" to me.

Another franchise i really liked was Buffy. Both the original and the spin-off have excelent writing, direction and (more times than not) acting. They can be a litle too campy every now and then, specially in the first few seasons, but if you put out with it you´ll find that they can both be excruciatingly dramatic and hysterically funny depending on the moment.

Some others that come to mind are The Simpsons, Futurama, South Park, Rome, Game of Thrones, American Dad, Family Guy, Dexter, House M.D, The Big Bang Theory...
