hmmm i believe that they row using those wheel thingys at their side since they are coal powered
I do believe wind still matters but not as much as in Shogun 2. You're mostly blessed with greater maneuverability in FotS.

You are slowed down ever so slightly if going against the wind.
But why is there no visual indication?

AFAIK sails were only used getting to and from battle to conserve fuel. Once in battle they used their engines as the risk of sails catching fire was simply too great.

LoL yes indeed, historically, steam was not used exclusively at this point, so again my question is! WHY DON'T THE BLOODY SAILS OPEN?! XD
I would prefer my steam engine if I was the ship's captain. Only when the engine failed would I switch to sail, not to fight but to flee from the battle![]()
