Question For US Citizens About Only In America With Larry The Cable Guy

Hello I have spent some time in the states in my life and last time was their saw the show only in america with larry the cable guy

returned to Canada and saw the same show but it was on our comedy network.

Is this just something being lost in translation or was the show picked up by another company or something?

Or is your history really just our comedy ?

They dont really air ancient aliens enough for it to be really annoying

It could have a lot to do with the fact that Larry the Cable Guy is a comedian.

Maybe. Possibly. But I'm not totally sure there.

The History Channel, Discovery Channel, and even Animal Planet are all trash in the United States now. it isn't new news to me personally, it's been like this for half a decade or more now. History Channel has gone from Nazi/Aliens to Redneck Reality TV in the span of 3-4 years.

I sadly would even prefer Nazi/Aliens over the crap they have on now sadly.

Pawn Stars is barely tolerable and would be okay if it ran only once or twice a day. But they play episode after episode after episode in a row every single FREEKEN DAY!!

I actually have little reason to turn a TV on anymore because of all this. Issue being despite how bad I think these programs are, they're getting such channels killer ratings so they're making rip offs of their already crapy shows.

So ya. History Channel in the United States DOES EQUAL

My favorite pawn show is Hardcore pawn.

Even though it's scripted, it's still ing hilarious to see people get all pissed.

I actually wrote a letter to the History Channel, complaining about the direction they were going with their programming(these stupid phony reality shows). I mentioned how we had thousands of years of recorded history and they were wasting my time with a stupid show about truck drivers(ice road truckers). I drive a truck for a living, the last thing I want to watch when I relax is a stupid show about truckers. Anyways, it was a letter to no avail, I never got a response. Needless to say I don't watch History Channel anymore.

I dont know what IRT has to do with history

Anyways I think its over glorification of a few select drivers.

I've seen a few episodes of this show. I thought it was pretty funny (moreso than his standup which isn't all that good).

You won't learn anything important about history, it's just crude humor and some random trivia. But it's better than a lot of other stuff on the history channel these days.

This about sums it up.



Funny story about "Larry" before he did his "redneck" schtick to be satire, he used to do the same thing with yuppies.
