    Default Is this normal?

Hello. I'm playing SS 6.4 for the first time, including BGR II , Disable RR, Savage AI, H/H, and no other sub-mods.
I'm playing as the Fatimid Caliphate, and my campaign was going pretty well, until I reached the year 1220.
I was already at war with the strong Khwarazmian Empire from my right, the Byzantine Empire at North, and the Kingdom of Aragon From left at Tunis Castle. So I was already having some troubles because all the three of them are very strong.
At 1220, the pope decided to declare a crusade on my capital. I was at shock, now all the christian empires will be at war with me. They are going to attack my capital while I'm already having troubles from all over the place. I putted three armies at my capital and about 5 assassins to assassinate the leaders so the crusading armies go back where they came.
The next two turns, I was shocked by another event, the Golden Horde. Things got really complicated when the Mongols came. Although they were weakening my enemy, Khwarazmian Empire, but eventually they are going to reach me! What am I going to do?
After about 30 years, the Mongols came to knock on my doors, the crusade was already over, I defended against it successfully. My sitution was pathetic to defend against the mongols. My enemies were many, The Russians were reaching me from north also.
So what did I do? I used diplomatic solutions. I had to sacrifice some of my lands to make diplomatic negotiations. I decided that I keep fighting the Kingdom of Aragon, since my armies are there at Tunis castle, and my other neighboring enemies become at peace with eachother.

Looks like you have expanded really well, from what you've told i thought you would be in a much worse situation at least in the north.

You should also call jihads as much as you can to capture some important/wealthy cities like Constantinople or Rome, they will also just let you travel more as we all know so if you would grab some cannons/catapults you could call a jihad to a really far away settlement and destroy everything on the way there.

The yellow color with Blue boarders are not my territories. It belong to The Kingdom of Aragon. So the last 4 or 5 settlements in bottom left corner on the map belong to the Kingdom of Aragon.

The most important you have already done: alliance with Mongols. If you don't have to fight them, you can fight anyone!
My suggestion: focus on Bizantium. You can easily take them some south cities with a fleet with full army and 6 spies to open the gates.

    PS: yes, this is normal

Yeah, from my own experience[which is probably dated at this point!]. That is normal. Especially with a crusade and the mongols attack on your border and capital.
