The reason I am putting Scar Face up for vote is simple, he shows the necessary qualities of a Civitate through detailed posts, a positive attitude, and an obvious interest in the Curia. He would be a most excellent candidate because of the amount of time spent on this forum, as well as his indulgence in the hotspot of this site, the Mudpit, which has given him experience in the form of debating. He shows, to me, quality worthy of becoming a Civitate through his devotion to this site. Adding him to the body of the Curia would be a plus for this site, and I have complete confidence in his ability to become an excellent Civitate.

In my time in TWC, I have come to love this place, it has its own...truly unique community. I frequent it several times a day, and it has truly become a part of my life. TWC stands alone in that it truly forces one to post intelligently, breeding intellectual thought, if you will.

I want to do what I can to help the forum, I want to have a voice in government. This way I can help elect the right people and pass the right bills to better this forum. I hope that, as a Civitate, I will be a beacon of maturity and intellectual thought that inspires the common members in a way that the other Civitates have done so for me. With all this in mind, I asked to bestowed with the Title of Civitate.

Well a while ago it would have been an instant no but now.... I will consider him as a good candidate:

Brock, was from Geurnsey. Which is a bunch of small islands above France. Also, the British High Command, was not worried about Canada rebelling. Canada had in the revolution, fought against the Americans, it wasn't that the Canadians couldn't achieve freedom, it was that they didn't want to. Britain knew that, they weren't paranoid about Canada in the least. Also, if Brock was successful at Queenston heights, then it is very likely they would place another 8000+ soilders to Brock, maybe not in an Invasion of America, but in the defense of Canada, yes.

However if Brock did invade America I think he would have initial success, but through sheer weight of numbers, lack of supplies, and commitment from the government, he would be pushed back. Britain was far to busy in Europe to actually fund a campaign against America. Regardless of the General leading it, the Campaign would require immense resources and manpower. Something Britain could not, and would not give to Brock.

I like Scar Face (both the member and the movie) but he hasn't quite sold me of civitate status. Certainly much better than earlier on. :hmmm:

Did you read the example post? That is not the only post of that quality which are becoming the norm from this guy, you voted me in (you or others) on posts of less quality. I think his previous character shouldn't reflect on his character now, he has settled into the forum and become very stable.

I voted no because of firstly his past actions, which arent really model examples. I really need to be more than 50% sure to vote yes, and i wasnt, mainly because of ths thread:

It's late so maybe I will regret this decision, I doubt it. I've steadily lost interest in twc for the past few months, to the point where I don't post for days at a time. My interest in this site is all but dead. I come here for the interesting and intelligent debates; I just cant find them anymore. And when I do the discussion is ruined with one liners. I've been here for quite a while, so I thought those who like me- and this site as a whole deserves to know I wont be around anymore. Well...that isn't entirely true, I will lurk- perhaps my interest will come back but I doubt it.

Since this was posted just over a month ago, i think more evidence is needed before we can say he has definitely changed his mind

Very true, but at the same time i dont really want to vote definite yes on someone who changes his mind on matters like that so easily - one day he has lots of warnings, the next he applies to have them pardoned, and then when they are finally pardoned he declares he is leaving as there is no intelligent debate to be found. For me, it takes longer to recover from a record like that than just a month.
