As it says in the title this is obviously random speculation but...is it possible the reason they announced Rome 2 SOOOO early is because they plan on re-introducing Time Commanders and they need about a year to produce the show aaaand make the game

with Rome 2's graphics, Time Commander would be a must-watch show.

Well, Rome TW had just about the same lead time and they did use the game engine animations in some history channel battle reenactments.

I think it is because they want to make the community more alive. I mean you have Jack Lusted talking with us and he even take some of his free time to make a interview with guys form TW center.

All I want to say is that they are trying to hear us out. I mean in one article with Mike Simpson his every second word was : "the fans want..." or " the fans are talking about..."... They will even make that modding summit where they will call some of the moder from TW center.


They want to make this game big in general.

They will release a picture every here and there and probably watch our conversations over them.

Maybe they will use Rome 2 to show how Rome was built by aliens, and how the gladius is obviously from alien origin, and the coliseum and circus maximum are both alien landing stripts. Oh and a reality show of chariot drivers thought the most dangerous roads of the empire. And another reality show about the dangerous salt mines.
