    Default Some "General" Ideas

So I was playing Twilight Princess last night and This came to me. Especially in the case of Gorons and Zora. Each only has a few royalty. However i can see them living longer then humans I dont think its natural that Hyrule has 5 different Zeldas when Gorons and Zoras only have 2 maybe. I thought of this when I saw the Goron Elders and the Zora Queen Rutela. I think as time passes Zora and Gorons for sure should get new kings and Queen. However Gannon on the Moblins is pretty much Immortal. What do you guys think?

Neph has come up with a solution for the "mortality" of some races. The minimum and maximum ages for generals dying has been set extremely high, making all generals, family members, and agents immortal. When the complete version is released, Neph will script the deaths of mortal races' characters based on age. Example: Trigger: Princess Zelda reaches 40. Event: Death event set.

The death age will be akin to a dice roll. Once Zelda hits 40, a random death age between 41 and 49 is set. This creates an event that will make her die of old age when this age is reached.

This is just an example. "Immortal" races will never die while Neph will use his discretion in creating age-ranges for the deaths of "mortal" races.

i actually do not like this "solution" seeing as how i'll only actually get to use some of the Zeldas for all of 10-20 turns as it stands.

A year is 2 turns (a summer and a winter), so you will have Zelda for atleast 40 turns if she starts out as age 20. This was just an example and may or may not be the actually time Zelda dies in the final product.

And doesn't the aging in Kingdoms mean that people only age 1 year every 4?

I thought I read that somewhere...

Shouldn't a year be made into 4 turns? For four seasons? Not only would the five zeldas last for the game but it could open up some ideas for holodrom

I thought it was aged 1 year every 2 turns but I am not entirely sure. All I know is, it isn't 1 for 1. It may be four, but usually the thing only says "Summer" or "Winter" when I save it, not Spring or Fall.

the point is, 40 turns is still not nearly long enough.

A year will be four turns. A character aged at 20 that is predicted to die between 40-50 will last quite a long while.

If you want a game where people don't last long enough look at, please excuse me for this Total War Center, Empire: Total War. All my good administraters will die out and leave me with the choice of either incompetent or corrupt fill-ins. Honestly I think even 40 turns is long enough for a single character. As one year is actually 4 turns, you will have a character for about 80-100 turns, assuming they start around 20. Right now, the game only lasts 180 turns. (Though this will almost definitely be extended.) That means that, if generals died out at this point, you would still have them for half the game.

If you never want someone to die, Napoleon: Total War. One turn is IIRC 2 weeks, and key characters, like Napoleon, are only wounded for a couple turns. However, assassins and spies are merged into one, so theres more risk of death from those.

King Zora can seemingly live to be older than 400.

If Gerudo holds the capital cities of Kokiri, Goron and Zora and Ganondorf has visited each of them, he can enter the Hyrule capital and acquire the Triforce of Power in an event. This gives him the "Immortal" trait, along with enough strength to make him a boss unit.

I am suggesting this because seeing 'Dorfy die of old age feels so wrong.
