No I have not really...
Well I have played Empire and Napoleon and what do you mean by pointless
Your less then one sentence OP (Original Post) that was pointless, do not worry this is not the most pointless thread I have read this afternoon that is for sure.
And then I am confused did you not use cavalry in either of those games? RTW2 runs on a modified version of the same engine used for Empire, Napoleon and Shogun 2 so yes cavalry will be fast.
There are other threads about cavalry you could have posted that wonderful piece of literature in.n previous totl war games the calvary were not fast enough, right?

RTW2 Will be On empire shogun 2 and napoleon engine?
I Have lost faith in humanity.
Well If there's anything I'm looking up to see in RTW2 is retarded graphics glitches and Ultra-retarded melee combat and duels. shuffling troops, Robots (heh)
I Seriously hope this is not true unless its very heavily modified, I Have always dreamed CA Would make RTW2 on M2TW Graphics engine but EBII Is coming up I Guess, most likely without numbered legions![]()
We have to wait and see I suppose...
Again heavily modified
Game makers don't usually go back in time when it comes to game engines and I like how you say "I guess" the people who are making EB and other mods are spending 100s of hours of their own time for no profit to give us this mod or that deserve more then an "I guess"![]()
I have confidence in the warscape engine to be honest.
I prefer this to the Rome and Medieval 2.
I would prefer a slow down on everything if anything. I only played teh Shogun 2 demo but i found the battle on it to be very fast. It might be that Japanese warfare wasnt drawn out as long (no shields?)
Cavalry in Empire/Napoleon seems fast enough, as is infantry. I think they have got a decent level going on there.
you are right indeed, sorry about my ignoranceGame makers don't usually go back in time when it comes to game engines and I like how you say "I guess" the people who are making EB and other mods are spending 100s of hours of their own time for no profit to give us this mod or that deserve more then an "I guess"![]()
Wrong perspective. The problem with Total War, with regard to unit speed, has always been how quickly infantry units run, not how slow cavalry are. Slow the infantry down and you'll see the cavalry are fine.
