SS 6.4 does not start after Installation

Hey guys,

so I installed Medieval 2 + Kingdoms over Steam totay. The Main Game + Addon is runnig fine.
Then I installed SS 6.3. + Patch 6.4 in the steam folder under Medieval2/mods and connected it properly as non-steam-game in Steam-Launcher.

But every time I start Stainless Steel now it says: "This game is currently not available: Application running."

I dont get my mistake, what am I doing wrong, can anybody help me?

Hey Kilminator,

This problem happens to a lot of people, including me. There is a problem with kingdoms. Go to your task manager and go to the processes tab. Search for a process called launcher.exe*32. End the process. It should work now.

I don't know what causes this problem. You may have to do this every time you play medieval. I hope it helps.

By the way, if you get another error (Medieval 2 has encountered a fatal error...) please tell me. I'm having this problem too and I can't figure it out.

Thx for the help so far. When I close the launcher.exe I get the same like you: "Medieval encountered a fatal error...". The launcher crashes but music keeps playing o.O.

For some reason, after the newest Steam-Update i connected SS as non-steam-game again and now it works. Maybe the Steam-Update fixed the problem.
