    Default [BSOD] Brand new PC

    Hey,

So yeah. I have bought a new PC just yesterday and at least 5 BSOD's have occured by now, I have no idea why it is doing this, but it is clear to me that I haven't done anything myself. I have Win 7 64-bit.

Does anyone here have any clues what might be causing these?

Right first of all, if you had noticed during BSOD right at the bottom there is a message with a progress indicator. That task is done by windows to create a minidump file which users view to study the reason or find the conflicting driver causing the BSOD.

So upload you last minidump file here please in an archive like .zip file or something. The location of dump is:
    C:\Windows\Minidump.

Uninstall all your drivers, and reinstall newer ones.

Or just take it back to wherever you got it and tell them it's broken. It could be faulty hardware.

Yeah if it's happening frequently then that's the best approach. A new PC shouldn't give any troubles at factory settings unless he installed something recently.

There hasn't been any BSOD's since the monday, but going to upload minidumbs now.

E: My minidumb folder was empty. At first it said I don't have rights to access it, even though I'm the only user on this PC. Though, after all it let me go to the folder, but as I said.. empty. Any clues?

Alternatively just give me the error code and we can start on that.

Perhaps dumps are disabled on your PC. Press windows key + pause break. After that go in Advanced system settings > Advanced Tab> Startup and Recovery button> System failure, make sure it looks like this:

Still, brand new PC? I'd take it back and get them to give you a working model!

Yeah, well I will take it back where I bought this if it is faulty hardware, but I dunno yet.

@Ishan, here you go. (Sorry for finnish language, btw..)

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

@Stildawn, does it save those error codes on a txt file somewhere? I don't remember the code atm. (Obviously) since there hasn't been any BSOD's since Monday.

It would in the dump files. But you don't have them apparently.

Next time it happens they are near the bottom of the BSOD, and look like 00X00000024 or something.

What's the amount of RAM you have clagius? Because sometimes we need to set pagefile usage so that dumps can be created.

    For dumps to be produced:
    • Page file must be on OS drive.
    • Page file base allocation size must be > than installed physical RAM.
    • Windows Error Reporting (WER) system service should be set to MANUAL.
    • Set page file to system managed, OS drive.

I have 8GB RAM. Could you guide me how to set all those things?
