Icon10 Roman families/factions idea (1st post in two years :D)

This is just an idea concerning the Roman family-factions which were in the previous Rome: Total War, I thought I'd throw this out since I've seen a few threads discussing it.

The idea is that you have whatever number of noble families within the Roman faction but not as individual factions and you have to maintain their loyalty by giving them positions and conquering territories otherwise they break off from the Roman faction and become their own.

Would this be something CA might include in the final game?
How far will I go for Rome? At least to the end of the street, I hate walking

By now, there have been several threads regarding families and tribes making up factions. Here is a short version:

    - faction made up of several tribes/families
    - tribes/families can be united into a faction by either force or diplomacy
    - distinct advantages/disadvantages for empire or republic e.g. more freedom and control in empire and bigger family/tribe member pool for generals etc in republic
    - tribes/families form a senate in a republic
    - senate can veto action
    - discontent families and members, which are governors, generals, ministers etc can rebel

    - thus civil war can be portrayed
    - factions with lower/higher likelihood of being united can be portrayed (germanic tribes vs. rome)
    - factions may value different characteristics higher than others (carthage: trade / germans: war), which is important if you want to unite them peacefully
    - smaller factions like germanic tribes can unite to fend off a common thread like rome

    Anyway...

I quite like this idea, it gives a way for their to be a civil war mechanic without having separate factions from the get go. Though I'd also like to see the ability to have new men appear. This could also work for Carthage to represent the Magonids, Barcids etc.
