creating an exception for folder

i remember reading somewhere on how to create an exception to the game folder so you don't have to install it outside of the programs folder to play the game without difficulties. Is any one aware of this, and if so, please share

i think i got it covered. But here is what I think is the answer:

1.) Right-click on your SEGA folder, and click on "properties". In the this window, click on the "security" tab. You will see an "edit" button with the windows shield on it. Click on that and allow the administrator and other users listed there to alter files by ticking the first box that you see in the panel below the users. Press "apply" and "OK".
