How to edit SS 6.4 RR dates?

Hi guys, I was hoping you could help me out with something.

As stated in the topic title, I would like to edit the dates at which certain events that unlock units happen, since I think my campaigns will be more interesting for me when I don't have to wait as long for more variety in the units I can field. I'm aware the dates in 'vanilla' SS6.4 are more historical, but still I would very much like to decrease the amount of turns I'd have to wait. Could anyone help me find the files I need to edit, and tell me exactly what to change in them?

PS I use the Next Heir Ancillary submod, I suppose this should not conflict with the proposed changes?

PPS I posted this here because I couldn't find the answer elsewhere and the main discussion forum gives most exposure to my request. If I should ask someplace else, or a topic already exists please let me know.

You can change the dates for different events there. Keep in mind that some units become obsolete after certain events. So while you will be gaining new units, you will also be losing old units.

EDIT:

OK guys I have a new question. I was wondering if it would be possible to alter the game-files mid-game to rename my state to something else relevant to the direction the game is going. Would this be possible, or would it be save-game incompatible?

Also, would it be possible to change titles etc to reflect the new state? Something like 'Emperor HerpmcDerp' instead of 'King' and also the stated nationality of characters on the campaign map?

How would I go about these changes?

Find your faction name in there and change it. It is save game compatible. You will probably also want to find all instances of your faction name being used and change those as well. For example, if you want to change Byzantine Empire to Eastern Roman Empire, you can do that. But then you'd also want to change the name of stuff like Byzantine Army, Byzantine Castle, Byzantine Faction Leader, and other stuff like that to Roman.

The titles are also located in expanded.txt. Everything can be changed there.
