    Default Dynastic Marriages

Diplomatic marriages were a huge part of the hellenistic kingdoms negotiations and should definitely be included in Rome II. But the question is how?

Rome never made marriage alliances with other states but did make them with other Roman families, so should the mechanic be there for Romans to use or be locked out unless they become an empire?

What about Carthage, they were known to make marriage alliances with Numidians, Libyans and Iberians but as a republic they shouldn't have a singular family tree like the Ptolomies or the Seleucids.

Finally what about barbarian tribes? Should the Seleucids be able to make marriage alliances with Barbarian chiefs or should they only be able to marry into hellenistic/eastern factions?

Honestly i have no idea how they could handle it correctly. I liked the old way when you got offers to marry the daughters to a "new man". This was a nice way to get new Characters for all Factions. For alliances it would be cool as Carthage for example, but than it can't be possible for Rome as you mentioned and it would be also problematic because the worth of a roman marriage was often not for ever they knew the divorce^^ At least what would be with culture with Polygamie? This was common in Japan, but they didnd include it in Shogun.

I don't think family trees will be in Rome 2 as we know it. The factions will be ruled by a political government, as they already stated that politics will be a great new feature to the game. But who know, all we can do is to wait and see...

However marriage alliances were really important to Hellenistic kings. And after Augustus took over all his generals were related to him by blood or marriage.

This is also a Total War game, and we all know how important alliances are in them...

TW games was always about gameplay with historic facts, the point of the game is that you can recreate your history, otherwise it would be pointless
Example Carthage would always have to lose to Rome since that how it was ?!?
