Where is this stated? The last thing i heard was that Jeff was working on their "Alien" game and that Richard Beddow(Empire, Napoleon) was going to make the music.

Agreed. His style of compositions just fits the period better. Plus he would use and update the themes from the previous game more than Beddow would, so it would make the game even more nostalgic while playing it.

I hope what happened here wasn't that you just stumbled upon that video and drew the conclusion that he was composing the score for the entire game, and then just decided to announce that as fact.

There's been other threads on this where it was established that Jeff Van Dyke "has not been asked to do the music for Rome". That he's doing music for the Alien game. That he was only hired to write the trailer music. That he said himself he thinks Richard Beddow's doing the music for Rome 2.

Unless you actually know something we don't that supports the thread title?

I really am confused right now.

Well I just hope that Jeff van Dyck is doing the music as I really enjoyed the first Rome, especially the musics in the intros( for example the greek intro).

Richard Beddow sucks ass at his job, Empire was the blandest game in the music category of the entire series. In fact many tracks were stolen/ripped/shared pieces that I've seen on TV shows.

I don't understand why CA didn't keep van Dyke in the first place. They're very bad about this "if it works don't fix it" thing.
