    Default Failed to find Steam

Happening to me with Rome: Total War. It's absolutely retarded, I was playing this morning and want to play before I go to sleep but NOPE I get this, happy me.

I need help I've tried deleting Client.registy.blob and it didnt do anything, I'm launching directly from Steam. I'm attaching a picture of my misfortune.

EDIT: My game isnt modded and I need help.

Navigate to your Steam folder in Program Files. Delete clientregistry.blob, and everything but your steamapps folder, and steam.exe and start Steam again. It will update and has always fixed the issue for me.

    Code:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam
    is Steam.exe. Just checked.

www.steampowered.com anonymously and install the latest client before trying to log in or play.

If you have 64bit (win 7 for example)

    Bring up the Start Menu
Right click on Computer, select Properties
Go to Advanced System Settings, select Environment Variables
Underneath the box labeled "User Variables for [Windows Username}" click the New button
In the Variable Value field, enter the path to the Steam exe file, click OK (for example (c:/programfiles(x86)/steam/)
