    Default More political manoeuvering!

Should'nt there be a lot more political manoeuverig during the game? Even tough The trailer seems to indicate it would be the case I still believe it deserves a topic... Is there any way we can improve the general loyalty trait to make them betray us for some and and being loyal to the end for other? The honour trait was a bit lame imo since you can boost it at the beggining, making every single general and family members... suffer a cruel lack of ambition?
Also if we could finally have a system to finally make coordinated attacks with your allies on the battlefield and the campaign map... And betraying them on the field if we wishes
To make a long story short, strategy in this game should be both on the campaign map and the battlefield and should be much more important :O

Crusader Kings 2 does political intrigue right. A system like that would be amazing.

If only this could be done to the smallest of detail.

For example, as Sparta, i could bribe or kill the euphors so that i may wage war out of limited season or something like demanding submission from other greek cities and demand troops to go on and smash some macedonian skulls!!

True, but how many people would persist in playing until they got the that point? Crusader Kings can be...frustrating.

While CK2 is an example I feel it only works in that because the game itself is pretty hands off. You push some buttons, change some sliders, but the game largely plays itself. Total War requires far more direct player action, and I think having to also manage the politic side of things might be overwhelming.

Not to mention I really don't want to see the Senate turn into something like the Pope of M2 or even worse. *shiver*

Total war is a far shallower game. Adding the depth of Ck2 to TW would not over complicate things: it would add far greater replay value.

It's shallower in some aspects but far deeper in actual direct control over things. Paradox games are mostly hands-off, you do things and hope it turns out well.
