Help Please with Installation

I downloaded all four parts of version 3.2 that are listed. this is my first time dling the mod. It downloads successfully, but when I try to install the mod, i get a message saying that the mod has not been totally installed because a file contains invalid data. can someone help please

Unfortunately that means you have a corrupted download, which means you'll have to redownload it. The good news is that you only need to redownload whichever part is giving you the invalid data message. So, if Part 1 installs with no error message, then it's fine, but if Part 2 gives you invalid data message you need to redownload it. It's been suggested by some that severe multitasking can cause this error, so try not to do much on your comp when downloading.

thanks for the quick response. I tried to download the mod again like you said, but still the same result. the download stops at different %s, like 7% or 18%. do you think there is another way this can work out?

What kind of Internet connection aru u using for download? If wireless, perhapse your signal gets lost from time to time. If u have any friend with better signal or even hardwire connection, ask him if he can download it for u, and put it on a DVD 4.7GB, or USB.

I dont think its the connection...its pretty fast and im able to download the mod in about twenty minutes. It might be my computer or something. Should i try to download an earlier version of the mod?

What version do u have already? To play Third Age TW u need to have M2TW, Kingdoms expansion( + 1.5 (1.05) correct patch, there are more versions, one which works doesn`t give u error message when updating to 1.5(1.05) and Third Age 3.0 part1 of 2 + Third Age 3.0 part 2 0f 2, and patch 3.1 and patch 3.2. What windows do u have and is your M2TW steam version or retail (CD, DVD..)?

Unfortunately the only solution to the invalid data message is to redownload. It took my three times before I got a good download and other people have reported downloading it 6-7 times. As I suggested before try not to do anything else while the file is downloading.

i tried to down load last night, i used the patch 3.2. installer launched told me that the download wwas sucesfully completed, but no sign in the mw2 folder or desktop shortcut!! i thought the patch was all i needed and i made sure it went to the right folder. Does anyone know what i have done wrong ???

Do u have Third Age 3.0 and 3.1 installed? 3.2 is the latest patch for Third Age 3.0. And before installing, if u have windows 7 or vista, disable UAC, there are few posts here in Bug threads how to disable it. EDIT: look here for disabling UAC for win 7 or vista http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...59#post8287059. Or if u have win XP, then install the game as the Administrator( right mouse click and Run as Administrator). And for battle crashes, disable daylight savings, u can find how to do this by using Search this forum or thread function. EDIT: How to disable daylight savings: go to your Date and Time( Clock), change Time Zone, uncheck Automatically adjust clock for daylight saving time.

Yep, you also need to download and install 3.0 Part 1, 3.0 Part 2, and patch 3.1 before installing patch 3.2.
