Chivalry support with JSGME?
As well known with its great aid to switch from mods to mods in Silent Hunter 3 and other games, JSGME is a very useful tools which helps backup original vanilla game files and merge with mod files.
Its basic principle is to first back up the vanilla files, then merge the mod files in a foldee,in which the game file structures is exactly duplicated(e.g. there are also Data those files). Yet this require the mod downloaded to be in the exact file structure of the game (in fact that may be easier for modders: No need to make a .exe)
Would this be possible in current Chivalry Total War mod or later ones? I am very impressed with 0.44! Now I am swinging around, deciding whether i should play Chivalry, RTR, EB or Res Gestae. Can anyone make a comment on these mods and give me some kind suggestions? Thx.

Re: Chivalry support with JSGME?
I don't exactly know how the JSGME works, so I can't tell you for sure. However you can just install Chivalry over your vanilla installation - if you want to play it, just switch back with JSGME to vanilla, if you want to play another mod, switch to that.
No thing is everything. Every thing is nothing.

Re: Chivalry support with JSGME?
I have used JSGME extensively and have found that it causes more problems and CTD's later on after the mods have been switched.
Apparently, some mods switch certain files around that cause compatibility problems later on.
I started using multiple installs and have had better results.

Re: Chivalry support with JSGME?
Actually flip is right, Chiv doesn't overwrite any RTW vanilla files, it creates his own mod folder. Anybody can install multiple mods with the -mod:my_mod function into this directory, plus can further use/play RTW vanilla or BI vanilla from this directory.
Also don't know about jsgme, but from another mod that uses -mod i read that a parallel process using jsgme while the installation messed up the whole installation from RTW and the intended mod.
