Ferdinand Von Terl, he knew how to RP before you could even Speak your name!
I suppose what I meant to say is that I felt there never really was enough material in Oracle of Seasons related to Horon in particular to warrant the creation of a full scale army. Others could argue "well the Gohma never really had an army" either, but at the very least the Gohma were violent and could coordinate and attack in groups. Horon is literally an extremely tiny village full of simple folk who don't even know how to fight (both in canon and in this mod). At the very least the Ordonians could fight in TP, and the Kokiri even had some fighting skill since they crafted swords and slingshots. Horon? No one had any weapons of any sort floating around. I just personally don't feel Horon deserves to be a playable faction (I did not even want them as an NPC either), especially when taking my lore into account.
I still say that a basic ranged unit would be supplement enough. Like hunters. Hunters would be townsfolk that go out and hunt game to bring food to the village. It fits for their village status and keeps them from getting completely mowed by by two or three units of archers.
Or to the whole of Holodrum really. Which is why I keep suggesting to add a Goron unit or two. You do that, you've filled the difference between Horon and Holodrum
And throughout the games, we've had many differnt types of Gohmas not just the same one with a slight face lift (though that also happened).
Uh? I didn't really see that, outside of Rusl and Link. In fact, I don't really see much of a difference between Ordona and Horon at all. Well, outside of the ranch and goats.
I'm okay with them being NPCs, but some extra units would be welcome. I sure am glad you added them, otherwsie it would have felt like something was amiss
Because Subrosians are extremely reserved. They do travel around, but they don't want anyone to know how to get to their homeland (at least in Oracle of Seasons, dunno about Neph's lore)... which kind of rules out any chance to integrate them with anybody else.
In fact, I'm still rather perplexed that Subrosians start out on the campaign map whereas Horon does not and only appears if you explore the area
I really think it should be the other way around.

i am of the opinion that if Neph really doesnt care about the Horons, then why not find a way to slide then into another faction, or simply demote them to rebels to add in another faction thats more wanted such as the Gerudo Pirates/ Paul's Ocean King faction/Rito/ or my personal favorite, the soldiers from ALttP.
i personaly want the Soldiers from ALttP, since we have a very wide variety of units, they could be from another Hyrule thrown in for their backstory, could be added down south to curb the Moblins growth, and are (probably) not to hard to model.
Oh I'm quite fine with expanding the roster for Horon, I just get the vibe that many people want to buff them up into some military power that can contend with the might of everyone around them, which is something I want to avoid.
I actually want the region the Subrosians start off in to be somehow sealed off from the rest of the map and then opened up by an event. Not sure how to go about doing that though since there seems to be no script triggers that can change terrain.
Gerudo Pirates will be floating around somewhere.![]()
That is all i was talking about neph, expanding the roster, and to give them a more unique design than a Ordona clone if you know what i mean:
This is a big place, and could use some kind of worshiping guardian unit
and
This guy works really hard on his clocks! Give them credit where credit is due!
And maybe in the full on version of this mod we might be surprised how much we could add to a faction no one thought could be a full roster faction
And for Duke!
Help a Biggoron out plz!

Yes, that would be misrepresenting them. I too said from the start that they should come off as an "haphazard ensemble".
Oh, I see... are you thinking of having Subrosia rise out of the ground in a cataclysmic event?
After all, if time's been rewund, then it never sunk underground, right?
So... have him as a hero unit comprised of him and
these guys?
My, oh my... Biggoron might tip the scales a bit much. Like Neph said, we don't want them to become a major military power or anything like that. But there certainly could be room for a few regular Gorons![]()
@UndyingNephilim
i totally agree. they should not be a major military power, as they are not even a kingdom in OoS, merely a rustic village. i'm very glad that you've included Horon in the mod, as OoS is a great game, and (like Labrynna) deserves some concentrated representation. however, you are totally right about their military prowess.

I suppose I would be willing to trade the Horon for a playable ALttP Hyrule Guards faction... but Neph doesn't seem to like that idea very much either and making a full fledged playable faction would obviously require more effort.
Plus, I mantain that it would feel like the balance of the game's cosmos was off if we had only Labrynna represented and not the people of Holodrum.
Honestly I think the best solution for the ALttP guys to be included would be to give Hyrule the same treatment as the Twili, having it split into two factions during the campaign.
Lastly ever since I learned that naval battles are always autoresolved (booooring) I've decided that, like Neph, I'd rather do without naval focused factions

Goron's should get Biggron.
That would be hilarious.
Yes, though again, Lynna wasn't much different in the present.
...in fact, while unfit to get their own faction as Paul has suggested, I'd kind of like to have democratic revolutionaries among the rebels on Labrynna's border.
Indeed, otherwise we'd have a Holodrum shaped hole in the mod
No, that would be the plan (as in it's already scheduled for addition to their ranks).
Nice new avatar Serkol.
