    Default [Proposal] High definition UI

    Medieval 2 is relatively old and the UI is not tailored for widescreen. The entire UI is stretched no matter what settings you play on. This is because of the textures used for the UI. They need to be fixed. I would be willing to create new UI textures but I would need someone to explain to me how to access these textures, how to package them, and let me know whether or not it is even possible.

    M2 is my favourite in the series and it's so annoying playing it with stretched UI graphics.

    you will find all files in the "ui" folder of your unpacked game-files.
    the interface files are located there in the "interface" folder of each culture, the item references and coordinates are entered in the .sd files. you should be able to make a widescreen fitted UI and edit the item coordinates acordingly.

    I've spend some time on this.
    My results:

    <page file="battlepage_01.tga" width="512" height="512" force32bit="0"/>
    Game will not make sd file if texture size is more than 512*512.
    If you change hud part size game will anyway enlarge it(on 1.875).

    The only possible way to make hd ui - edit kingdoms.exe but i think it's illegal.
