Homemade pc cooling solutions
I was casually playing my quake 3 demo online at my favorite server which is camping server, when my computer overheated and died on me. I was sucking real bad so i didnt mind so much.
Anyway now i put a glass full of ice on my comp right where it feels hot and it seems to be working. i moved it to the side when the condensation looked like it was going to drown my cpu, but on the side there is very little area of the glass touching the comp.
Anybody have any suggestions on home pc cooling that is free and is preferably liquid cooling. If you have a way to get me to use liquid nitrogen to cool my comp i will love you forever.
erm sigh i guess ill have to do it myself, mebbe i could do sum things with a tube and ice, gotta read up on my phyics, dont wana have to have anything that needs plugging in. :hmmm:
ok first attempt, ive put the glass of water on the place where it gets hot and added a channel made of tin foil for the condensation drip. Seems to work ok and the computer hasnt crashed since.
