Well my campaign didn't come down as close to the wire as I thought it would, but the timing was still pretty tight in relation to the overall game. I was able to capture the final few Carthaginian holdout towns in 36BC, sealing the fate of the Mediterranean and continental Europe as a Spartan hegemony.

Here are some screenshots of the last handful of turns, as well as the final tallies and stats.
This is Carthage's last attempt at prolonging the inevitable. These two stacks were their last effective field forces and my rearguard troops were able to stymie them while my hardened vanguard performed amphibious landings throughout the Carthaginian interior.
Carthage foolishly forted up with the last of their random troops in the Carthaginian interior in these two towns. Starving them out was a necessary step on the path of truth, justice, freedom, and turning everyone who isn't a Spartan into helots.
My final adversary destroyed. Ah the sweet taste of victory!
Sparta's campaign stats. In the Strategos' defense, most of those losses were random units getting caught out alone with no chance of victory. They will be remembered.
This is what Sparta's finances looked like on the final turn. As anyone can see, trade is almost nonexistent by this point in the game. Farming and general taxes are the only money makers really after about 3/4's into the game. So stock up on anything that assists farming early, it will help you immensely in the long run.
