yea this looks great a nice detail of england from henry the 3rd to henry the 8th would be a great campaign to play. can i ask will there be a reformation changes in the game u think in the early 1500s?
Henry III had been succeeded by Edward I by the time our mod starts and Henry VIII would ascend 200 years after the start off our time frame. However we won't try to steer history precisely so that this happens and there are no plans to include the reformation.
We aim to make the game as realistic as possible at the start with historical trends maintained over the short term. As the game goes on the state of the campaign will inevitably drift away from the historical record. After 200 years (800 turns) the state of affairs would probably be unrecognisable and so scripted historical events would not occur in context.
We are focused on the events in the late 13th and early 14th centuries although the player will be able to continue long after this period.

,wheres the download link?
There isn't one.
Kingdom of the Isles has yet to be released. We expect it will be ready between 2011 and 2015. Probably.
(however Kingdom of the Scots is available here).

2015... man we r entering a new age in 21december 2012 a big important event can u try to release it before that!!!
You can't rush history!
The map is a massive undertaken because we are attempting the highest degree of accuracy possible. Every major summit in Britain will be present and hopefully recognisable.
Also we are using 12 climates (each with its own texture set) and a reworked system for generating battlemaps.
The other major area that requires work is scripting.
The more ambitious we get the longer it will take but the result will be worth it I believe!
I would be surprised if we did not release something next year though.
What is the significance of the royal burghs? Market towns can build better markets etc but what difference is a royal burgh?
Were there but a tree in this godforsaken place i would have hanged myself.
Is this based Julian or Gregorian Calendar? I'm sure the mayans had no idea of the existence of these. Anyway 2012 is pure fantasy only.2015... man we r entering a new age in 21december 2012 a big important event can u try to release it before that!!!
As with Market Towns, Royal Burghs are trade related towns. Any town that is not one of these will not be allowed to progress further than village trader. From memory we were creating an ancillary for Royal burghs such as a "baillie" who oversaw this office and burgh. What is the significance of the royal burghs? Cant wait for this mod to come out!! Looks fantastic!
Are we getting a second preview on 22.12.2010? ^^ This is without a doubt one of the Top 5 mods that I'm anticipating.
This is one of the first sites I check whenever I go online (e-mail, bank, kingdom of the isles) so thought it was about time I regestered to show my support. The mods looking great can't wait to try it out, keep up the good work.
Cheers Ian!
Sorry its taking so long. Now you have registered don't be a stranger!
We are many who are anticipating this mod! Keep up the good work and thanks for the work you've done so far.
If this mod is still active, can you somehow add clan Cameron to factions too?

in stone halls they forge their sharp spears.
Whilst I walk alone in the mountains,
with no true companion but tears.
They hunt me with dogs in the daylight,
they hunt me with torches by night."
