    Note: this is going in general discussion because it's not a "mod" at all, just messing around blindly...

    So for just playing around with the pack file (I'm no modder!), I got my Tosa Rifles decked out with Future Soldier Personal Guided Multiple Launch Rocket Systems. It's like a homing Javelin missile you can fire every 5 seconds...

    Anyway for those who want to mess around too, just get the Pack File Manager 2.0.5 or later from here, then find your latest patch#.pack, go to db -> projectile and look for "shogun rocket" and set the range, then go to db -> unit land tables -> unit of choice and change their "ammo type" to "shogun rocket". The higher you set the unit accuracy above 100, the more "homing" effect the rockets/bullets have. And of course the range can be 1000 or 8000 or whatever you like.

    Anyway, the funny thing with the pic is, I had forgotten about these changes, so I expected to face off against 2000 matchlock monks and matchlock ashigaru, with sharpshooters shooting over line inf heads and cav carbs behind them covering as well, a wall of bullets... but then I heard whistling noises... every single volley kills 50 matchlock monks...

    Any other "amateur modders" have funny noob modding stories or pics to share?

    They are the ammo that the "Fire Rockets" unit in shogun shoot, but any unit that fires ammo may be able to shoot them too.

    I tried to get the gatling gun to shoot those rockets but it didn't work, maybe because the gats are artillery and can't fire infantry ammo.

    I will try to get my riflemen to shoot naval rounds, maybe advanced armor piercing shells next. Or explosive shells. I also think they should be able to fire blinding grenades at any range as well.

    I think ships might be able to fire broadsides of torpedos instead of shells too. So I will try that.

    The FOTS world is unprepared for Long Range Ninja Blinding Grenade Defense Towers or Cavalrymen that shoot Naval Defense Battery Shells while galloping!

    I swear I read about a mod someone created where it was a single deer model (like the type you get in battle maps sometimes) and that it fired and invisible arrow (because there was no animations for it) that, when it hit, was a rocket projectile instead.
    Was pretty funny but I can't seem to find any trace of it here anymore which is a shame
