Default The role of the senate

I know that CA have decided to just have one roman faction this time around but i still wonder, will the senate have a role like in the first game? I would certainly like that.

Does anybody know anything about this? Lusted maybe?

Rome without senate is like a football without ball, they should do it like RTW where you would climb through your actions , both in senate and with masses , while eventually you would become (or your family) an emperor or you would remain loyal to the senate. Having various missions, plots, backstabing and dealing not only with warfare but also with the harsh politics
