Will they make the units like Shogun?

Do you guys think they'll make the units like Shogun, With only Samurai and Peasant units as the only units in the game. There was no in between, I mean your army was either elite or peasants, there were Ronin as well but not everyone could recruit them and they were just as expensive as Samurai. And you couldn't garrison Samurai in towns because of there high upkeep so if your town is attack by a Samurai army your pretty much out of luck. I hope there some mid grade units in this game to give a bit of diversity

That's not how this era worked. There will be units EVERYWHERE

I expect 3 levels of units, peasant, professional, and elite. I also think every faction will have a full roster of peasant and professional units, but will only have a couple of classes of elite units.

I also think we will see a bit more consolidated unit roster compared to some other Total War games, similar to Shogun.

You people that make comparisons between Shogun 2 and Rome 2 are really dumb as far as I am concerned. The era is different and the cultural variety is tremendous in Rome in comparison to Shogun. I really don't know how could you in your head even conceive a comparison of the two. Not even Rome 1 had similarities in unit types with neither of the two Shogun games CA has done. Neither will Rome 2 have similarities. The only similarities between Shogun 2 and Rome 2 will be in the game technology used and general improvements of gameplay like better AI, better diplomacy, better economics and so on. That's it.
