    Default The 'Alexander' unit in custom battles...

    Hey there! Is there any way to get the Alexander (the oversized companion unit) unit to use the model of Alexander as the general model in custom battles instead of the guy with the bad haircut? It's just that the Alexander model is so cool looking...

    Cheers in advance for any input, and my regrets if I've missed something already mentioned on this forum- though I have read through a decent number of threads.

    in descr_model_battle.txt make the alexander model and skin into a officer, thats not to do. Then in export_descr_unit.txt go to the desired unit and look for 'officer' then put the name of the officer model there (which would be alexander). And your done.

    Looking back, I think my post was rather unclear. Sorry about that. Perhaps posting at 3am is a bad idea.

    I wasn't looking to set the Alexander model to be used in the way that, for instance, a centurion is attached to a Praetorian cohort. I was wondering if it was possible that when the Alexander unit is the general unit in a custom battle (thus including the captain in it), you could replace the captain model with the model of Alexander III.

    Again, sorry for the lack of clarity.

    Yeah, ive been trying to find the answer, but i dont really know how, it keeps CTD.........

    It is not possible, unless you change the captain model to look like Alexander.

    So you want the general to look like alexander then? If so just simply copy and past the texture and model lines from the alexander entry in descr_model_battle.txt and paste them over the texture and model lines for the general entry.

    can you show what the descr_model_battle.txt is to be changed to so i can copy and paste it into my data file for alexander i am desperate to get alexander playable in my custom battles.
