Wait what will happen to the GCS

Hello this is my very first post!
After listening to the interview I realized the singular faction known as the Greek City states will no longer exist as one faction. So, what will happen to them? Will it be just one main Greek city state-that's playable- and the rest are just your protectorates? I honestly have no idea but I just wanna know what other people think.

They will probably be separate factions, which is what they actually were. The Greeks had colonies all over Europe like Massalia, Syracuse, and Bosporus, but these will probably only be minor non-playable factions. Greek City-States will probably be replaced with one of the alliances that existed back then, like the Achaean League.

Ya there prob be a bunch of minor Factions, Hopefully you can play as Athens or Sparta

WOULD IT NOT BE GREAT ... if each greek state was a sub-nation of a greater faction (see my signature), each sub-nation starts as protectorate, and if you want to play this smaller state, you first must cause a revolt to become indepedent.

i'm sure there's alot of non-EU players out there who want to play their own nation, as;

Israelies = playing Levant
Syrians = playing Syria
Egyptians = playing Egyptans (not greek overlords)
etc
etc

but i suspect this suggestion wil be water off a ducks back ..

I like the Idea that the would end up as an alliance. I really hope that alliances will give you access to new units that way a giant greek alliance isn't like useless

The beauty of the system I describe is that a player can have their own nations units, once they revolt. Athough I suspect CA won't like having to make extra units .. but it would only be a few.

The newly revolted country would probably adoped their previous overlords military to certain extent anyway.

Yea either that or it they will act like the Empire total war factions and get certain "special" units depending on what culture they are
