    Default No more ammo "power" cooldowns, please

    I notice in Shogun 2, there's no longer an option to toggle a certain ammo type on missile units, same in FoTS, even with its heavy focus on artillery.

    This isn't an MMO, why do you need to treat things like flaming arrows as a "power"? Give it its disadvantages and advantages and let us toggle it instead of us having to divert precious thinking time to keep track of the silly cooldown.

    Really minor criticism but it bugged the hell out of me.

    He's talking about how they are treated as an "ability"(1 time use thing, with CD), and I agree it's annoying.

    The exploding cannon shot in FotS is even worse than fire arrows. They have a limit (which is good), but you never reach it b/c the cooldown is so long (even though its just choosing ammo type)

    Stupidness I say. Abilities are gamey and they make me feel like I'm playing Warcraft or Starcraft instead of Total War. Not that those games are bad, just that they are a totally different genre.

    The best option is to have different kind of ammo for artillery and for bow units toggle between fire and normal arrows.

    Agreed. If they actually are going for the 'real gritty' thing, this crap should go far, far away.

    It's okay that they do this for the arcadey multiplayer, but for singleplayer it's a big no-no.
    "Archers, use fire arrows!" *Archers shoots out a volley of fire arrows* "Okay, now we have to wait 3 minutes for the cooldown" *facepalm*

    Well if then don't do away with it then I would like my Roman general to have a power, to call Fobos and Deimos as two nightmarishly dogs that breath fire and launch rocks from the sky, they will last 30 seconds and have a cool down of 4 minutes...
