A couple questions on them...

Is it possible to play as them?

How many provinces do they start with and what are the other factions that start on the island with them?


I ask this because it seems every campaign they just start to dominate everything but for once (playing as Saga) they didn't expand past the northernmost island (probably because of an alliance with the Sendai as they controlled the bulk of the northernmost part of the mainland.). So finally I will be able to see "Clan destroyed: Matsumae."

hmm dunno maybe a mod? though on my campaigns they also dominate and to counter as the aizu i attacked them before they could get their navy going and after that it was easy to bring them down since if you wait until they attack you they have the better navy and bigger army so attack them first if your close to them....

I don't understand how it's fair that they get start isolated on that island while everyone else starts with either 1 or (if you're lucky) 2 regions.
