So, I'm playing my Kievan Rus campaign and Poland thought about sieging one of my settlements. I have enough garisson to win the battle, but something strange happened when I ended my turn (I didn't sally, I want to wait for Poland to assault my walls): my vassals, Lithuania, decided to send an army led by a family member to help me out, lol; never thought that the AI can be reasonable and help his allies

. I don't have outstanding relations with them, only 'Good'. I will of course reward them the next turn with some gold

Have you allies ever been so helpful in your campaigns ?

It was probably a glitch. Diplomacy and allies are not supposed to help.

My allies help in my campaigns too. It's a strangely weak ai he must be using though for the AI to send such a weak army against so large a garrison.

There are actually 2 Polish armies there, but one of their flags is covered by Lithuania's flag (not very strong, but stil ... not so weak).
And I'm using Savage AI, playing on M/M.

Thats amazing, the only good thing that my allies have ever done was accept my alliance, nothing else
(They are pretty good at backstabing you aswell)

This happened for me too last night. started a new Portugal camp and allied with Spain early to secure my border while i go south to take the rebels and moors.

Being weak at the beginning i had taken Lisbon and the castle next to it and was building up my strength again to move on moors when they sieged Lisbon with a 3/4 stack. I had about a 1/3rd in the city and would have held it but Spain then came out of nowhere with a 1/2 stack and attacked them helping me beat off the siegers.
