Default Assassination clips - are they in?

The veterans among us will still remember them - the awesome assassination video clips from Shogun, these were a great piece of work. I was really disappointed, when they didn't include them in Medieval and Rome. Does anyone know, if they get a comeback in Medieval II? I remember some rumors, but I can't find no evidence.

Yes, the ninja movies are back. There will also be a much wider variety of clips available.

Oh they're back alright! Gaming sites reported that, in one that they witnessed, an assassin pushes a stone over a bridge on to the head of the target below...

Cool, yeah the assassination clips were the best. I liked the one where the Ninja throws the two daggers, killing the guards, then runs up and decapitates the general, that one is awesome.

I dunno, some European assassins were pretty good. I heard of this one during the Hundred Years War, she was like Mata-Hari, or a geisha. She was a British lady. Anyways, she'd pose as a prostitute, seduce the enemy general, then, while they were having sex, she would pull a dagger out of her clothes laying by the side of the bed, and slice open his throat. Quite clever, getting a man while he was most vulnerable

Never heard of that one. And I've read a lot of medieval sources in my time. Sure you didn't make it up?

I'm guessing assasination movies are going to get the same treatment they did in STW for me. I'll see them when they are new and novel, and turn the option off (or click my way past) when I've played the game a few weeks. They were pretty, but still pretty much useless eye candy.

I wonder if assassinating an English Princess will involve a French Tunnel and lots of Papparazzi...

I think there were more as just 'eye-candy'. It adds something to the atmosphere of the game.

Yeh all the little clips from STW where really awesome an its great that there will be some back in MTWII. But the reason they wherent in MTW an RTW (atleast the throne room) was that they took alot of time to make an where difficult because of getting the lighting an things like right. Thats what it says in the Total War Eras documentry

The coolest assassins are the Arabian ones, they would first smoke hashish get high then massacre the general and his guards.

ROFL I can't wait to play as an arab faction then, the clips alone will make it worth that.

Arab assassins probably can be just as interesting.

Its CA, what more can you expect? Though eye candy is their specialty.....

It would be cool if, since this game goes to renaissance, that you could have duels as well. That would be fun. Or before that tournament events that have clips. Things like that.

Do u think there will be some kind of "overpowered" Geisha assasins in the game?

Because in shogun I had to flee with my King cross the whole japan just to avoid the silly Geisha. (He didnt have any heirs) So the only thing I could do, was to run to Northern Japan, and build a lot of Ninjas.

It took me around 20 Ninjas to kill her :|. Way to overpowered

Sadly, I haven't had the honor of playing Shogun so I have no idea how these cinematics were but I do wonder why they would remove them. I can't wait to see them in action in Medieval 2.
