heretic state

I was playing as scotland and in my stupidity, I tried denouncing a heretic with something like 28% chance and that priest then became a heretic...

So this happened for about 10 turns straight, and eventually i ended up with maybe 15-20 heretics wandering around northen scotland.

I was wondering if anyone else has had any moments where they've realised they've done something terribly stupid?

You don't need to nerf the heretics. The solution is just to not use regular priests to assassinate heretics. Only use cardinals or assassins to assassinate heretics.
