I know nobody can tell how exactly cavalrymen fought in 300BC, but they're anything but riders sitting on idle horses and stabbing each other to death - which is really dull to watch, unlike infantry fighting. They're supposed to be moving all the time, maybe somewhat similar to chariots in RTW, but with reduced pushing effect. If they cannot move for some reason, the cavalrymen should dismount and continue the fighting on foot - it happened several times in classical age!
Watch any movie with cavalry in it and you'll understand what I mean. Make it like real please!![]()
