    Default Problems with the papal states

    I've slighty modded the game to play with the papal states (I've also made that the papal states get some papal favor at the start of the campaign), but I've some problems. The mongols haven't come even if i've got the warning. Same for the timurids. Also I can't build barracks to go to america (and the map doesn't expand to include it even if i've got the message "the world is round"). I'm sure that the mongols nor the timurids have come because I don't see them in the faction ranking scroll (and I haven't got the message "faction destroyed"), but i'm not sure if I've to wait some more time before i'm able to go to america because i've never made it in any campaign so far. I'm not expert in modding the game, i've only followed some tutorials
    Also, if it can help, i use the "Swordmen Militia Addon".

    Playing the Papal States, you're on your own. I have never tried it but I do understand that CA did put some hardcoded limits on what it could do. As far abuilding buildings, it's all controlled in the export_decsr_buildings.txt.

    Mongols and Timurids will show on time but clear on the right edge of the map, Monols north of the Caspian Sea usually, ant Timurids around Baghdad usually.
