Windowed (alt-tab)
I've been trying to get this to work for the last hour or so and have gotten no where with it. Also, I've checked numerous forums directly related to this matter but all leading no where for me. Due to the AI turn time being like 2-3 minutes I'm wanting to run MTW2/SS6.4 in windowed mode so I can browse and do other things on my computer while the turn is loading.
I've gone into my SS6.4 CFG file (I've also tried my original/vanilla Kingdoms CFG file), under the Video tab I placed :
windowed=true
borderless_window=true
If I change just the 'windowed=true' and leave the border there I am able to then double click the border (once in game) to maximize the screen but then the border stays there @ full screen.. Is there anyway to get it @ full screen w/o the border? When I try to change the resolution in-game it only changes the resolution within the game window but doesn't actually make the window itself any bigger. My default resolution on my desktop is 1920x1080. I've also noticed that 1920x1080 is not listed as a resolution choice for me under the video options in-game.. not sure that matters??

Re: Windowed (alt-tab)
I thought SS was in borderless windowed mode by default, I never had to change anything for it to work.

Re: Windowed (alt-tab)
Well how do you put the game into windowed mode then if the border is gone by default? At least in my game the border IS there by default and I have to add borderless_window=true to get the border to disappear but then I can't mximize the screen. Cmon peeps, I know a ton of people are playing ss6.3 in windowed mode!

Re: Windowed (alt-tab)
Try having a program already open you can Alt-tab to, like whatever browser you use. I know the game won't act like it's windowed for me until I do. Once I alt tab out the first time, it usually works seamlessly like it should, and I can just quickly flip back between my browser and the game whenever I want.

Re: Windowed (alt-tab)
Dan - just so I'm on the same page, when you tab back to your MTW2 do it take up the entire screen (even in windowed mode)? I can alt-tab currently and it works fine but the problem is when I tab back to MTW2 it doesn't take up the entire screne and w/o any border present I can maximize the window.

Re: Windowed (alt-tab)
I think the fact that your resolution isn't listed may be the issue then. When in windowed mode, it's putting the game at the resolution it's set at, and with your monitor resolution set larger, that's why it appears smaller. That's my guess anyway.

Re: Windowed (alt-tab)
I've tried adding my resolution to the shortcut target as well as in the SS6.4 CFG. When I check the Video options in-game my resolution still is not listed, however, the very last resolution option is '0x0' which is odd..??

Launch the game first. Then Ctrl+Alt+Del out start task manager. Then open up your browser. It should work.
