For those of you who will be interested in playing GSTK 5.0, please take the time to vote for your desired start date. Please state your interest in joining the game so that your name can be added for the rolled positions in game and state the TWO dates that you have voted for.
The dates and basic descriptions are as follows:
1154
Henry II. Chivalry is important, The Anarchy has been largely repressed but England remains vigilant against both internal and external threats. There is also the option of a crusade here.
1189
Richard I. The most stable King since Edward the Confessor. Nothing but crusades.
1216
Henry III. Baron's revolt and possible future exploits in the sixth and seventh crusades.
1274
Edward I. Wars in Wales, Scotland and France.
1327
Edward III. Importance of chivalry, strong royal power yet keen advocate of parliament which gained influence under his reign. Plus the beginning of the hundred years' war.
1413
Henry V. Generally peaceful time, allowing for characters to get to know each other before anything major, though both the Southampton Plot and the Lollardy discontent could be used to good effect. The introduction of Chancery Standard's a good enough excuse to get everyone speaking the same too, preventing the previous mix of archaic and modern tongues. Yet more war with France (though now immediate).

Thank you. We hope to have the game up on Monday for everyone to introduce their characters.
