Well, it seems like things are coming apart when you run out of money. This is true for families as much as nations.

Altough Greek officials does not accept it, some kind of separatism is starting to surface. People at the island of Ikaria started to talk about leaving Greece. Of course only times will tell if this is just a trick to get more money from the central government.

Thinking about how many small islands Greece have and it has no more the capability to give money to them, we can only assume it's a start.

In fact, I challenge you to find one legitimate source where there has been some kind of poll, referendum, or official statement of any of the island's governing officials.

I don't understand why you are so angry. The news clearly says that some of the people that the reporter spoke was saying they would be better annexed to Austria. It also clearly says that this is not an official statement.

Also, i really wonder what you understand from a "legitimate" source. You mean sources like CNN or BBC? Are you mad, they are making biased news more than anybody else.

I'm really sorry to bring this news in front and tried to discuss it. I know it's hard for Greeks to discuss what you are living right now.

Seems like when the news topic is Greece truth is hardly used. Just the other day a Greek newspaper claimed that all the Turkish commandos that had a role in the Kardak crisis were killed by Greek special forces. The one thing they forgot to check was that a number of those commandos are actually detained for the Ergenekon trial...

Sorry but this is not how it works, in the balkans for part of a country to change hands or become independent,it first has to suit the geopolitical interests of nato ,it has nothing to do with choice xd
