Who wants the ` console` back

I know many of us had fun memories with the console(press `)

Things like adding troops to a dying faction to keep them in the fight, give troops to a city your besieging to make it a better fight, adding money to underdog factions, etc etc or just plain cheating when things got rough

So simple want to know how many of you would like to have the console back

I certainly would as it gives the player greater freedom to want sort of campaign they want to play....

In SinglePlayer Campaign it would be cool, but Multi-Player Campaign it would be best not to have it, or else Gandalf's statement would be right.

I'd only expect it in single player.....

Cause around late game there isn't much fight left in everyone so pumping them with coin and troops is always good imo.

Yes. If anything toggle_fow was useful in seeing how well AI factions were progressing halfway across the known world.

I use the console as a counter-measure for the flaws of the AI. I don't punish factions for doing well, but as an EB player I need to maintain a stable balance of power between some of the major powers.

All you have to do is mention the Grey or Yellow deaths and most EB players will have a nervous breakdown.

Can people stop post threads about this.... Anyways i think its been established by the majority(the ones with self control) that the consol should come back, since its very helpful in mods and so you can have joke campaigns.

Make it only works for Factions other than the faction the players currently controlling.

I'd love for it to come back shogun 2 just seems like a hassal or i must've gone to the dark side of being spoiled only recruiting so many elite units and elites only

I voted "yes". We can only have benefits from the console. Players who don't want to use it simply don't have to.

Perhaps it is an option to have a console on/off option at the start of the singleplayer campaign. If you select on you don't get any achievments. Prevents the temptation of using it in a serious campaign, but when you select on you can have your crazy campaign!

Yes, this is a great way to help the modders. However, I don't want it to be built into the game, but would have to be downloaded and activated somewhere else.

Otherwise, the temptation would be too great and it would ruin the game for me.

Honestly, my heart says i want it back, but my head is saying otherwise. I feel that the absence of the console has made me a better Total War Campaigner, because you know that you have to take time to think about major decisions, whether it be to recruit a new army, or to spend the turns money on upgrading the infrastructure. In short, the absence of the console removes the "backup plan", and so you have to play much more seriously. Therefore i think the removal of the console has made Total war a more enjoyable experience (In my humble opinion).
